Dr. William J. Vinyard is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the founder of the Vinyard Institute of Plastic Surgery in Port Saint Lucie, South Florida. At his state-of-the-art facility, Dr. Vinyard offers cosmetic plastic surgery of the face and body as well as nonsurgical skin rejuvenation and body contouring. “The goal of my practice is to elevate cosmetic plastic surgery to a new standard by creating exceptional results, through an experience that exceeds our patient’s expectations,” says Dr. Vinyard. Dr. Vinyard graduated with honors from the University of Kansas and earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Kansas Hospital, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Vinyard was then accepted into the highly competitive plastic surgery residency at the University of California, Davis, again serving as chief resident. There, he narrowed his professional interest to aesthetic plastic surgery. He went on to a fellowship in advanced breast and aesthetic surgery in Birmingham, Alabama, training under the esteemed plastic surgeon Dr. James Grotting. Dr. Vinyard is one of few surgeons to complete four full surgical training programs, a testament to his drive and desire for an extensive education before opening his own practice.
